YOUNGSTERS at St Egwin’s CE Middle School in Evesham cooked up a storm as part of a national campaign which encourages children to eat more vegetables.
Year six students designed a poster for the ‘Eat them to Defeat them’ ITV campaign and the four lucky winners plus a friend won a cookery session with the head chef from Carluccios in Stratford-upon-Avon, Lee McDonald
Aspiring chefs had the chance to cook with the chef and each received a goodie bag donated from Carluccios including a book and an apron.
Carluccios also provided all of the ingredients and also donated eight pasta machines and a set of ravioli cutters to the school.
Teacher Laura Keogh said: “The donation of the pasta machines and ravioli cutters means we can continue to develop our ethos of teaching children about food from around the world and to develop their love for preparing and cooking fresh food.”
