Young would-be royals throne an opportunity

Evesham Editorial 12th May, 2019   0

CARNIVAL chiefs have kicked off the countdown to this year’s Evesham extravaganza with the search for this year’s Carnival King, Queen and royal attendees.

Evesham Carnival is on the search for talented youngsters and local heroes to board the Carnival float procession on June 29.

The chosen youngsters, who need to be between 11 and 16-years-old, and the group of attendees aged six to 11-years-old, will be among the stars as the carnival comes to town this summer.

King and Queen are important and prestigious roles that begun with sitting at the head of the 2019 Evesham Carnival.

They will retain their titles for a whole year, attending events and functions, raising money for their own chosen local charities and enjoying the status of being local celebrities.

As King and Queen they can inspire others as well as flying the flag for Evesham. With a past Carnival Queen winning community awards for her fund-raising, it really is a role to be proud of.

Anyone aged between six and 16-years old is asked to send a picture and a some information about themselves via the link which can be found at www.facebook.com/eveshamcarnival.

Nominations can also be made via e-mail to [email protected] with details on why you believe this person deserves to be crowned.

All entries and nominations must have parents permission and include parents contact details.

The closing date for all is May 31.
