KIND-HEARTED volunteers from Working World Evesham came out of its temporary Covid retirement to provide a Christmas feast for the town’s British Legion.
More than 40 members and guests of the local branch of the Legion gathered at Wallace House for the meal on November 30.
Among those in attendance was Mayor of Evesham Coun Sue Amor and her consort Coun Marlene Sale, deputy mayor Coun Pat Clifford and Coun Jennie Johnson.
The staff and pupils provided an excellent meal along with first class service befitting any local restaurant or hotel, according to organisers,
The pupils, whose manners and serving abilities, ensured that all present were well looked after; a reflection on how successful the training these individuals, with learning disabilities, receive from those who care for them.
The staff and pupils were thanked by Jeff King, president of the Evesham Branch of the Royal British Legion
