Woman's purse stolen in distraction theft at Evesham supermarket

A WOMAN’s purse was stolen after she was distracted in a supermarket in Evesham.

It happened at the store on Broadway Road between 11.15am and 12pm on Tuesday, September 13 when the victim was approached by an unknown woman asking her ‘how much are these autumn decorations.’

At that point the victim turned away and pointed to the price above the decorations.

When the victim got to the till to pay she noticed her purse had gone missing and found her driving licence had been placed in a plastic folder inside her bag.




Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or noticed any suspicious behaviour, is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 0286S of September 13.
