AN EVESHAM man charged with the murder of a 53-year-old woman at a property in the town has appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Mark Pearce, 51, of Rowlands Court, Bewdley Street, appeared before magistrates charged with the murder of the woman, named in court as Julie Hitch.
Police were called at 5.48am on Friday (April 15) to the property and attended along with paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS).
Ms Hitch was pronounced dead at the scene and Mr Pearce was charged with her murder sometime between April 13 and 15 on Sunday (April 17) evening.
Pearce, also of Rowlands Court spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
- Mr Pearce was remanded in custody until July 18 during a further hearing at Worcester Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday)
