Woman arrested as police investigate Co-Op raid

STAFF at the Co-Op on Davies Road were threatened by three individuals during a raid on the store which saw them make off with cash from the tills.

Police were called to the store at about 10pm on Sunday (July 7) after the trio escaped from the store on foot following the attack.

A 20-year-old female from Cheltenham has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in custody. Investigations are currently on-going.

DCI Ian Wall said: “We have one suspect in custody and our investigation is still on-going to find those responsible for threatening staff and taking a quantity of cash from the shop.




“We would like to ask for assistance from the public if they saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area to call 101 with information.”

Anyone with any information or who saw anything suspicious at around the time of the incident is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 865s of 7 July.
