Witness appeal after Waterside sexual assault

A WOMAN in her 20s was left shaken after a sexual asssault on Waterside.

The incident took place at about 2.30pm on Monday (June 17). The victim was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, of slim build, wearing a dark hoody with the hood up, dark trousers and was believed to be riding a push bike.

Det Sgt David Hall from West Mercia Police said: “We take reports of this nature very seriously and a thorough investigation is underway while the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.




“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or saw anything suspicious in the Waterside area at the time of the incident to please come forward.

“We would particularly like to speak to a woman described as in her 30s with dark hair who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.”
