Winter warmers light up Pershore venue

‘TIS the season to be jolly at the Number 8 in Pershore as the High Street venue showcases its winter season which brings a selection box of festive shows to get audiences in the Christmas spirit.

Seasonal treats include a Christmas concert from folk duo Belshazzar’s Feast in their Two Wise Men Tour, mixing traditional folk music with seasonal material, and later on in December the multi-award winning production of The King and I comes to the big screen, recorded at the London Palladium.

Families are in for a real treat with CBeebies Christmas Show: Thumbelina beamed in via satellite and there’s Bolshoi Ballet’s magical production of The Nutcracker.

Festive films include animated comedy The Grinch voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, inspired by the E.T.A Hoffman fairytale.




Later on there’s screenings of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, starring Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander alongside Jude Law and Johnny Depp.

To round off the festivities Number 8 will be celebrating the New Year in style with the Berliner Philharmoniker: New Year’s Eve Concert, this glittering concert conducted by Daniel Barenboim will be broadcast live from Berlin.


The celebrations continue into January with André Rieu’s 2019 New Year’s Concert, a wonderful evening of music, dance and festive fun recorded at the Sydney Town Hall.

Gift vouchers are available from Number 8 and can be used toward payment for any film screening or event and there are also handmade gifts and artwork available from the exhibitions on display at Number 8.
