Wildlife watchers wanted

Evesham Editorial 23rd May, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

WILDLIFE watchers and bug hunters in the Vale are being called to put their skills to the test.

Next Friday (May 30) from 2pm residents can attend Avon Meadow in Pershore to sweep netting for insects, pond dip for water minibeasts, spot butterflies and watch birds.

Experts from Worcestershire Biological Records Centre and the Friends of Avon Meadows will also be on hand to help and explain more about the wildlife which lives in and around the town’s wetlands.

Wellies and waterproofs will be required and anyone looking for further information can contact Liz Etheridge by e-mailing [email protected] or call 01386 565217.
