COUN Wendy Dyke has vowed to ‘talk to anyone about anything’ after she returned to Evesham Town Council in a by-election.
The long-serving councillor made her return to the Town Hall in a by-election held in the Great Hampton ward last Thursday (May 6).
Together with husband Andrew, Coun Dyke stepped down from the Town Council in 2015 after a long stint representing local residents.
The pair have now returned to Vale politics with Coun Andrew Dyke serving on Wychavon District Council and in a letter to the Observer, Coun Dyke said: “May I thank all those who voted for me.”
“Can I also thank the small army of people who delivered leaflets on my behalf and helped me secure victory. I was delighted by the size of the majority. May I also thank the other candidates for their participation.
“Whether you voted for me or not, I am happy to talk to anyone about anything. As my slogan said, ‘I won’t promise what I can’t deliver’
