WELL-USED public toilets in the heart of Evesham have re-opened following a £105,000 Wychavon District Council revamp.
The Oat Street toilets underwent a complete internal refurbishment including new tiling, flooring, electrical rewiring and the installation of water-saving Propelair toilets.
The disabled and baby change rooms have been combined to create a new modern Changing Places toilet offering greater facilities to people with a variety of disabilities.
They include specialist equipment such as a ceiling hoist, adjustable height changing bench and extra space compared to a standard disabled toilet. Baby changing facilities are now available in both male and female toilets.
The project was delivered on time and part-funded by £60,000 of funding from the Government to increase the number of Changing Places toilets.
Two more are planned to be installed in other locations across the district.
