RESIDENTS in Evesham are being urged to be on their guard after counterfeit bank notes were used in the town.
On Wednesday, November 20, a woman used a £20 bank note to buy an item.
The incident happened on Port Street in Evesham town centre and police are investigating in a bid to track down the person responsible.
Evesham Police Safer Neighbourhood Team are reminding all shops and businesses to be mindful and to check for counterfeit cash.
They are urged not to accept the notes if they are unsure to whether they are genuine.
