FIVE Pershore High School students are preparing to walk across 100km of UK coastline in memory of their friend who died in April.

Will Bugg, James Davidson, Ollie Morgan, Will Parry and Tom Shepherd are challenging themselves to walk from Watchet to Croyde from Monday, June 27 to Thursday, June 30 as a tribute to Felix Alexander.

The group are also taking on the epic walk to raise funds for Place2Be, a charity which provides early mental health support to youngsters in school and improves the emotional wellbeing of their families and the community.

Dubbed the ‘inFamous Five’, the pupils will start their ramble in the Somerset seaside town of Watchet and make their way through Exmoor National Park, before reaching the seaside village of Croyde in Devon.

The 16-year-olds will have to use their Duke of Edinburgh expedition experience to read maps to navigate their way across the hilly open moorland and will have to pitch and strike camp each day.
