ORGANISERS of Pershore’s popular carnival held their AGM and presentation night at the town’s sports club.
Certificates were presented to those who took part in the procession and cheques given to the two chosen charities for 2014.
Midlands Air Ambulance and Acorns Children’s Hospice received an equal share of the £1,771.68 collected during the
procession and given cheques for £885.84 each.
Following the presentations, the Carnival AGM saw Colin Shepherd appointed again as chairman for 2015 along with the rest of last years committee.
Two new committee members were added and first meeting to organise the 2015 carnival will be held on September 15.
Residents are being invited to suggest local charities to benefit from the street collection at next year’s event no later than
September 12.
