VICTOR the Valley Knight was among those tackling the Two Castles 10k run in support of Evesham’s Freedom Day Centre £100,000 new home appeal.
The Valley’s marketing director Phil Maclean donned the venue mascot’s suit to take part in the route between Warwick and Kenilworth castles.
Phil showed his support for the group which is trying to raise £100,000 for the centre to continue to care for adults with learning disabilities.
“We had a lot of fun during the event, albeit in extreme heat, and physically, it was a big challenge, but to know we are doing it for Freedom kept us going until the end,” he said.
“The work and service Freedom Day Centre provide to the community is so vital, and we encourage readers to either donate or run fund-raising events to support the effort.”
