SHOPPING chiefs at The Valley have handed a lifeline to people with autism with the launch of a new guide as it prepares for retail to return.
Stores at the Evesham destination will join hundreds of thousands in England in opening to shoppers again from Monday (April 12) following the coronavirus lockdown.
Autism friendly visual guides will now be on offer at the venue while staff have all undertaken training to increase their understanding of the challenges people, families, and carers face when they visit The Valley.
Emily Burton from The Valley, said: “Across the UK, shops are turning away the custom of one in five people by not attracting disabled people.
“Covid-19 has disproportionately affected disabled people and we want to play our part in improving well-being in 2021. We are confident we can make an impact together.”
