US visitors enjoy English event

A PAIR of American tourists enjoyed a traditional English village hall fund-raising event and helped to raise money for people suffering from tinnitus.

Sue Mullins from Louisville and Jackie Barnes from Wichita, were both staying with relatives and friends in Broom, in Warwickshire.

They dropped in to Abbots Morton village hall near Inkberrow for a Tea for Tinnitus fund raising brunch.

“Thank you for welcoming us with such warmth,” Jackie said.

“We had a wonderful time experiencing an English fund-raising event and for such a good cause.”

They helped realise £104 for the British Tinnitus Association, which helps fund research into the debilitating condition of ringing, buzzing or other noises in the ears.
