MUSIC lovers from across the Vale are being invited to the second annual Under the Hill Fest which will be making music and memories of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Festival chiefs have now revealed the line-up for the event from May 25 to May 27 in Ashton Under Hill, near Evesham

Last year saw the first of this new, exciting festival, created by a small team of music and creative enthusiasts, who were determined to create a unique experience, with a personal touch, and above all, amazing music.

The success of 2017 is evident, as the festival has now announced that it will be coming back bigger and better for 2018.

This year Under The Hill Fest will be open from Friday and has capacity for more festival goers to enjoy this new boutique event.

Festival-goers can arrive on Friday for a chilled out evening of music, film, and meeting new faces.

The main music will take place on Saturday, with even more diversity including Brass, Ska, Balkan, Electroswing, Hip Hop, and Gypsy Punk.

This will be topped off by another rave in the woods, with top DJs in Drum & Bass, Electro, and Funk, an absolute highlight from last year.

Under The Hill have just released their headline act, the legendary DJ, A.Skillz. A.Skillz is a magician behind the turntables, captivating crowds with his ability to embrace all aspects of music that he takes inspiration from and mashing them up into a unique cocktail, infused with his own signature flavour of funk.

He mixes a wide range of beats across genres such as hip hop, soul, funk, and rock with dubstep, drum and bass, and electro.

Under The Hill continues to support the local community and to that end held their first Battle of the Band Competition last Friday at Amber Bar in Evesham.

Six local artists, from Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Gloucestershire, battled it out to gain a slot on the Under The Hill Fest line up! After a great night of music, hosted by UK Beatbox Champion, PieMan, two acts were selected to play the festival.

Jeremy Johnson, born locally to the festival, will be added to the acoustic set on the Friday night. Jeremy Johnson is an emerging, independent British singer-songwriter with a passion for connecting with people and sharing his music live.

Liar, Liar will be joining the line-up on Saturday. Liar, Liar are a British indie pop duo from Evesham, composed of twin brothers Benji and Thom Parry, with punchy beats and pop anthem hooks, they’re sure to get festival goers on their feet!

In addition the festival held a DJ competition, giving emerging DJs the opportunity to play a set at Under The Hill Fest. Submissions were made via MixCloud and festival organisers are excited to announce that DJ RobWhy? will be performing a 1 hour set.

RobWhy? You’ll know why after hearing him shimmy a dance floor more than a flapper girls tassels. Expect mashups, remixes, heavy basslines and high energy presence with ghetto funk, electro-swing, breaks, drum & bass, jungle and bassline all part of Rob’s audio artillery!
