TWO WORCESTERSHIRE men and a horse died after a serious crash on the A38, just north of Junction 1 of the M50, on Friday night.

The incident happened around 11.30pm when a blue Volkswagen Golf collided with a trailer being pulled by horses.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said two paramedic officers and a Critical Care Car from Midland Air Ambulance attended the scene, alongside other vehicles from South Western Ambulance Service.

Upon arrival, crews found four men.

The first two, from the trailer, sustained life-threatening injuries.

Unfortunately, nothing more could be done to save them and they were confirmed deceased at the scene.

The second two, from the car, had sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening.

They were taken to hospital for further assessment.

Gloucestershire Police are investigating and have urged witnesses or anyone with information to call officers on 101
