YOUNGSTERS and staff at St Egwins CE Middle School shone brightly to raise awareness about mental health in the community.
Students at the Worcester Road school took part in activities to mark World Mental Health Day last Thursday (October 10) including dressing in yellow to join in with the campaign. Proceeds from the non-uniform day will be donated to a local charity, marking the continued effort to focus on mental health projects in the community.
After being awarded a grant from the popular Tesco Bags of Help scheme, the school want to press ahead with doing more to tackle mental health matters.
School chiefs have raised the prospect of a base on site to act as a specialist hub for pupils and parents, carers or relatives and the local community to come together for help.
