ORGANISERS of the popular Pershore Carnival have announced they will be holding a fun tug-of-war competition as part of this year’s event.
Weather permitting, the competition will take place between 11am and 1pm in the grounds of Abbey Park on Monday, May 29.
The event, which is sponsored by the New Inn Pershore, will award trophies and medals to the winners and runners up.
Teams must be made up of 8 adults, aged 16 and over, or 8 children, aged 7 to 12, and can be mixed gender.
Colin Shepherd, Chairman of Pershore Carnival, said: “We are looking for families, friends, sport clubs and businesses to get teams together and come along and join in the friendly competition.”
