THE GRIEVING family of a former Pershore High School student who died following a collision on the A628 Woodhead Pass in Yorkshire have paid tribute to their ‘beautiful girl who enjoyed life to the full’.

Rebecca Ward, 22, from Worcester and 20-year-old Philippa Bertram from Darlington died after the collision between their white Fiat 500 and a blue Mini Cooper on Saturday, December 15.

The Nottingham Trent University students had been travelling together when the collision occurred and both Rebecca and Philippa’s family have paid tribute to the women.

Rebecca’s family said: “Becky was a beautiful girl both inside and out who enjoyed life to the full. She was in her final year at Nottingham Trent University. Becky will be greatly missed by her family, boyfriend and many friends.”

Philippa family said: “Our precious daughter Philippa has been suddenly taken from us. She was our world and our joy and we were so proud of her, but our lives have been shattered by what has happened.”
