A PERSHORE retailer marked her first year of trading with a packed day of celebrations for customers.

And now Tracy Bishop is looking ahead to see what the future holds for her and Happy Robin, her boutique gift shop.

Happy Robin opened its doors in 2013 when Tracy looked for a new challenge in life and she admitted she was surprised by the unexpected joys of retail

“I realise now that running a shop is so much more than selling gifts.” she said.

“It’s about meeting interesting people, sharing occasions with customers and being part of the wider community.

“Pershore has made me feel so welcome. It is lovely to be back in my home town and twelve months on, I know I made the

right decision.”

Her first 12 months in business has seen Happy Robin change and evolve and Tracy is delighted she has been able to respond to feedback from her customers.

“For example, I have recently taken on a line of ladies clothing and a new jewellery range purely based on customer feedback, which is exciting for both the customer and me and I don’t intend to stop there.” she said.

On Saturday (July 19), Tracy marked one year in business and the relaunch of her website with a packed day of celebrations including refreshments, a free raffle and special offers.

Happy Robin is situated in the main car park in Pershore, opposite ASDA and is open six days a week.
