Town restaurant in the frame for carnival success

THE WINNERS of this years Pershore Canival window competition were revealed as the countdown to the Bank Holiday Monday extravaganza contiues.

A total of 20 town businesses took part in the popular annual contest and judges including Mayor of Pershore Coun Chris Parsons, chair of Wychavon District Council Coun Frances Smith, PC Dee Stanley and Nicky Oldfield from Carrick Travel were faced with difficult decisions.

Staff at Thai Legend were celebrating after scooping the top prize with Fordys Fishing Tackcle in second place, Lawrences in third and Pershore Eye Care Centre honoured with a highly recommended prize.

All of the entries will be on display as this year’s Carnival comes to town on Monday (May 27). The fun starts at 10am with the procession taking place from 1pm.
