Town causes given a boost thanks to Pershore Carnival

KIND-HEARTED Pershore Carnival chiefs handed over cheques totalling £2,000 to two town causes.

Representatives from Hopscotch Pre School on Priest Lane and the South Worcs Lifesaving @ Lifeguard Club were on hand to receive £1,000 each.

The cash was raised from collection buckets during this year’s Pershore Carnival on May Bank Holiday Monday.

Colin Sheppard, Chairman of Pershore Carnival committee said: “We are also very pleased to say we are one of the only organisation’s in Pershore who support local charities and clubs, by donating monies raised by our hard working committee.”

The annual Santa Fun Run organised by the committee will be held on Sunday, December 18 and 11am.
