Tinkling the ivories

Evesham Editorial 24th Jul, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

MUSIC lovers across Evesham will be able to tinkle the ivories with the unveiling of the town’s own ‘street piano’.

Volunteers from ImaGine will roll out the piano into Market Square in good weather throughout the summer to add a little light music for shoppers to enjoy.

The street piano is the brainchild of town resident Rosalie Daubney who was inspired by a clip on YouTube and sourced a piano.

And ahead of its launch today (Saturday), volunteers at ImaGine have been giving the piano a new lease of life with a lick of paint.

Radio presenter Andrew Easton will be on hand from midday today to play the piano and record his popular show.
