COUNTY education chiefs have revealed parents across Evesham and Pershore can apply for school places for 2020 from this weekend.
The online application will be open from today (Sunday) for any child due to start school for the first time, or moving to Middle or High school in September 2020.
For children applying for a place at high school, the deadline to apply is the October 31. For primary, first, infant, Junior and Middle schools, parents have until January 15 next year.
Letters and guides on starting school or transitioning to a new school will be sent to schools to be distributed to those eligible to transition to new schools next year.
Those without access to the internet can use the online application form at libraries across the Vale.
Cabinet member for Education and Skills, Coun Marcus Hart said: “Starting school or moving to middle or high school is a big step in your educational journey. We aim to make the admissions process as smooth as possible for both the pupil and their parents.
“We are pleased that with admission for September 2019 every child that applied had a place offered to them, with 91 per cent getting their first preference. However it is especially important the deadlines for application are met to avoid missing out on a place.”
