LEE Child books occupy the top three spots in the most borrowed fiction books of 2018 from Worcestershire’s libraries.
Child’s The Midnight Line was loaned on 1,030 occasions, closely followed by Night School (1,003) and then No Middle Name: The Complete Collected Short Stories (955).
Meanwhile in the non-fiction list, Bill Bryson’s The Road To Little Dribbling: More Notes From A Small Island was the most borrowed book, being taken out 256 times.
TV chef Jamie Oliver filled the second spot with 5 Ingredients: Quick & Easy Food, followed by Susan Jeffers with her Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway. YouTube star Joe Wickes saw three of his healthy living books fill the top 10.
For children and youngsters, David Walliams took top spot with The World’s Worst Children (624) and third with Ratburger (432). Liz Pichon’s Family, Friends and Furry Creatures came second (498). Three Roald Dahl books made the top 10.
The most borrowed non-fiction titles for youngsters included Megan Miller’s Hacks for Minecrafters: An Unofficial Minecrafters Guide (161), Kinney’s The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary – The Next Chapter (158) and How to Be Good at Maths (153) by Peter Clarke, Cherri Mosley and Caroline Clissold.
