Three bailed and one released under investigation following serious Evesham assault

THREE men have been bailed and one has been released under investigation after an assault at an Evesham house which left a man with multiple wounds.

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to the property in Thorn Lea at about 10.16pm on Tuesday night.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent a paramedic officer, ambulance and trauma doctor to the scene.

A man in his 40s was left with multiple wounds following the assault and was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.




His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Four men were arrested following the incident. A 23-year-old man, from Evesham, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and was later bailed.


A 24-year-old man from Evesham and a 28-year-old man from Birmingham, who were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, have been bailed.

And a 45-year-old man from Birmingham, also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, was released under investigation.

A police presence still remained in place at the house the following morning. The property was cordoned off with police tape and forensic officers were also at the scene.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 784 of Tuesday, August 15.
