THE SIGHTS and sounds of cultures from around the world were brought to Evesham last Sunday as thousands of residents flocked to the Port Street International Fayre.
Now in its third year, the fayre has become one of the highlights on Evesham’s packed events calendar and organisers have hailed this year’s fayre as the ‘biggest event yet.’
There was a host of entertainment throughout the day including samba drums, Bhangra dancing, belly dancers, fire performers, circus stilt Walkers, exotic animals, jazz dancers, burlesque dancers and swing dancing.
Local singer Betsy Harmony even held her own Eurovision singing style competition and there was also music from rock band ‘White Noize.’
The street was also packed with craft stalls and food stalls which brought the taste of cultures from around the world to Evesham.
This year the fayre expanded into Workman Gardens where residents had the chance to try out paddle boarding on the River Avon, as well as archery and a climbing wall.
Organiser Kim Dunn said: “I would like to thank all the people that helped make the event happen, volunteers, sponsors, and of course the local Evesham folk for supporting the day.
“What a huge success. Bring on next year.”
