This year's Evesham Carnival Queen revealed

THIS year’s Evesham Carnival Queen has been crowned following a tough talent show selection process.

Youngsters showcased their talents in front of a panel of judges at Evesham Town Hall earlier this year in a bid to become the Carnival Queen for 2017.

The judges, which included the 2016 Carnival Queen, and members of Evesham Ladies Circle and Evesham Round Table, crowned 12-year-old Teigan Koorts as this year’s Queen after being impressed by her singing.

The Carnival Princess will be 10-year-old Lauryn Carter, along with the Queen’s attendees Abigail Goodge, 6, Rosie Freeman, 6, Lara Clements, 7, Daisy Allford, 5, and Freya Bonham, 8.

Katie Gilbert, Chair of Evesham Ladies Circle and one of the judges on the day, said: “It was such an honour to be on the judging panel, and I did not realise how tough the decision making would be.

“They were all fabulous and we applaud them all for being brave and performing in front of so many people.”
