DRIVING from Evesham to Droitwich recently became a very confusing experience because of the number of temporary road signs.
There were a number of ‘Diversion’ signs but with no indication as to where the diversion was or where to.
The most confusing were the ones which warned of “workmen in the road”, supposedly cleaning out the gulleys, but there were no men or cleaning equipment to be seen, either going to or coming back from Droitwich.
It is not just on the roads where we can be confused but listen to spokespeople on the media and one wonders which planet they are on, whilst those who tell it like it is, are pushed to one side.
The world into which Jesus Christ came was just as confusing to the majority of people.
On the one hand there were the religious leaders with their brand of teaching and on the other hand were the Roman authorities with their rules and laws.
Jesus came to this situation and He told it like it was as He preached and taught the crowds telling them the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the wonderful love and salvation of God.
In today’s crazy world we need to stop and listen to the preaching of the gospel and the truth which that can bring into our confused lives.
