IT’S full steam ahead for an science-themed event at The Hive in Worcester.
STEAMfest is celebrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics at the city’s library on Saturday January 25 from 10am to 3pm.
Hosted by Worcestershire County Council’s library service, it promises to be a day of interactive activities, educational fun, and creative challenges for all ages.
There will be hands-on experiments, cutting-edge tech gadgets and artistic projects all offering an exciting introduction to the world of STEAM.
Fizz Pop Science shows will showcase mind-blowing experiments and demonstrations.
And inspired by Philip Reeve’s Mortal Engines, a series of epic young adult science fiction novels, children can join a drawing workshop exploring perspective in the built environment around them.
The drawings will contribute to a collaborative “cityscape on wheels” community art piece.
For aspiring engineers and creative minds, the Lego Bridge-Building Challenge invites families to construct a bridge that can withstand increasing weight, encouraging teamwork and ingenuity.
