DEVOTED Cancer Research UK fund-raisers at Tesco Evesham donned purple and pink to raise awareness of the charity ahead of their Candle of Hope ceremony.
The collection of colour was on show as the store prepared for a revised celebration of the annual Relay for Life fund-raiser which has been axed for 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Instead of the Relay for Life, cancer fighters, survivors and all those who lost their battle to this horrible disease will be remembered during the inaugural Evesham Candle of Hope.
The ceremony on Saturday, July 18 from 8pm will be live streamed on Facebook and include the lighting of the candles and time for reflection, music and memories.
Anyone wanting to participate can collect a Candle of Hope bag from customer services at the Worcester road store.
Shoppers can then decorate a bag in memory of someone touched by cancer and return it to the store by Thursday, July 16 so it can be displayed at the ceremony.
