The lights were put in place on Badsey Road, at the junction with the A46, at about 3pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Severn Trent has said residents water supplies have not been affected and the road should be back to normal at some point today (Thursday).

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We’ve currently got engineers in Badsey Road, Evesham fixing a burst water pipe.

“In order to keep our teams safe while we carry out the repair we’ve had to put temporary traffic lights on the road.

“Customer supplies have not been affected by the burst and the engineers are working as quickly as possible to get everything back to normal. We’re sorry for any inconvenience our repair work has caused to people in Evesham.
