A POPULAR Evesham eaterie has been honoured as Tea Room of the Year in the 2017 LUX Magazine food and drink awards.
JellyPickleJam Vintage Tea and Gift Shop in Vine Mews scooped the award at the ceremony in London.
Now in its second year, the awards have been established to reward companies and individuals who strive to provide an outstanding level of service within the food and drink industry.
It remains Lux’s aim to commend those who work in various sectors of one of the world’s largest industries, from manufactures and suppliers to restaurant and bar owners.
Lisa Whelan, owner of independently run JellyPickleJam in Vine Mews said “I was absolutely thrilled to receive this unexpected award from such a prestigious global publication.
“To get this news in late December was the icing on our Christmas cake, after a another great year of working tirelessly for our fabulous customers and visitors.
“We’re very excited for what 2018 will hold and are gearing up for the opening of the new Waitrose store, who’s car park we’ll open onto.
“This will be a fantastic commercial opportunity and terrific enhancement to the retail offering of the town.
