Talented two on the rise at hotel

A RECEPTION worker has risen from meeting and greeting to operations manager at the Vale’s historic Wood Norton Hotel.

Paige Yates, originally joined the independent hotel two years ago as part of the reception team.

Her promotion to Operations Manager follows a successful nine years in the hospitality industry.

Focused on a career in hospitality from a young age, Paige graduated with a Second-Class Honours from the London School of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of West London.




“I am thrilled to have been promoted to operations manager of The Wood Norton. Having worked at the hotel for more than two years now, I have had the opportunity to hone my experience in guest experience and events management, whilst forming long-term relationships with an exceptionally talented team.”

Georgie Lole, will work alongside Paige as The Wood Norton’s new weddings manager, overseeing the management and day-to-day running of the venue’s some 70 plus weddings per year.

Having worked in the events and hospitality sector for the past five years, Georgie has gained valuable industry experience at establishments in Worcestershire and London and has since returned to her hometown of Pershore to pursue wedding management at The Wood Norton.

Since joining the luxury establishment, both ladies have demonstrated their capability to manage large events and weddings, whilst leading other members of the team to maintain the high standards of customer service associated with the hotel.

General manager Steve Sweeney, said: “Paige and Georgie are both extremely talented and valued members of staff and it was our pleasure to offer them the roles at The Wood Norton.

“Their hard work and unique talents are widely recognised, and I look forward to seeing them flourish over the coming months.”
