Tails up at Dogs Trust Evesham after award-winning singer raises vital cash for them

AN award-winning singer-songwriter who became a Dogs Trust Evesham volunteer after a ‘heartbreaking’ visit to the venue has raised around £300 for the charity in a month-long tour of the Cotswolds.

Frazer Lepford, who was named Amazon Breakthrough Artist of 2021, said he felt awful after seeing how many dogs at the venue were left needing homes.

The ‘Rodeo’ star played eight gigs throughout September including the Pickled Plum in Pershore on September 18.

The 27-year-old has been singing and playing the guitar for the past nine years, but his love of dogs dates back much further.

Frazer accepted donations and sold merchandise at the concerts, with all of the cash raised going to Dogs Trust.

He also set up a JustGiving page to raise extra money, which has raised £280 so far.

Frazer said: “My family has had dogs in the past, one was a beautiful rescue Labrador called Lulu who loved a good belly rub.

“I’ve never forgotten her, and our family dogs made me a dog-lover for life.

“I visited Dogs Trust Evesham recently and the facilities were fantastic, so hopefully these concerts will help the dogs there find homes.”
