CARING staff at Evesham’s Tesco have gone the extra mile this year with festive food hampers for much-loved members of the community.
The Worcester Road store’s online delivery drivers have been tasked with handing of Tesco’s Finest food hampers.
Drivers were asked to nominate customers and they have been bringing a little Christmas cheer to some of the supermarkets most elderly and vulnerable customers whilst out delivering.
Tesco Community Champion Lindsay Roach, said: “Normally we invite 20 to 30 elderly and or vulnerable people, nominated by staff, in for a Christmas afternoon tea but with Covid we can’t this year.”
