CELEBRATIONS were in order on Thursday after students received their GCSE results at Pershore High School and Prince Henry’s High School.
Students at Pershore High School received ‘fabulous’ results, with 76% of the school’s grades awarded a 4+.
Phil Hanson, the head teacher of Pershore High School, said: “I am so pleased to congratulate our wonderful students on their fabulous GCSE results.
“They have worked very hard despite the disruption they faced, and this has paid off with excellent results.
“I would like to pay tribute to all of their teachers who have supported the students so well and helped them to achieve their grades.”
At Prince Henry’s High School, 99% of students achieved 5 GCSEs with numeric grades 9-1.
One of their top performers Lu Harris-Gibbins achieved 11 Grade 9s.
Dr Tony Evans, headteacher, said: The students have been a remarkable and resilient group of young people who thoroughly deserve the outstanding academic success they have achieved.
“I am extremely proud of the entire Prince Henry’s family rising to the challenges of the last two years, and I offer my sincerest congratulations to everyone concerned.”
