CROWDS are set to descend on the Badsey Flower Show once again as the line up is announced for one of the Vale’s most popular events.
The summer show is returning on Saturday, July 23 on The Recreation Ground, Sands Lane, and organisers are promising something a bit different from the 2016 event.
Gates open at 1pm and the star attraction of show has been announced as Bhangra dance troupe, In2Cultures and a professional display by Stuntdogs who have featured in a number of recent blockbuster hits including Pirates of the Caribbean IV, Thor II and Sherlock Holmes II.
There is also set to be a fly-past by an RAF memorial Spitfire.
The 2016 show will also include a fun dog show, a Farrier display, circus skills, a silver band and a large marquee full of exhibits from local amateur growers and producers.
In addition there will be a traditional mix of stalls, side-shows, children’s games and a range of food and drink will be on offer.
Badsey Flower Show Committee Chair, Gordon Boon, said: “Our show is always very popular and this year as ever, we will showcase a mix of professional and amateur entertainment.
“We are especially pleased to have in the main area a professional Bhangra dance display.
“We have had Stuntdogs along at the show in previous years and they always provide a fascinating and very entertaining demonstration.
“All of this plus our other programmed entertainments and attractions make this a wonderful and affordable family afternoon out – so do put the date in your diary now”.
