Warwickshire College and University Centre (WCUC) is celebrating a welcome set of results from the 2025 National Student Survey (NSS), with student satisfaction rising across every area compared with last year.
WCUC is the higher education arm of WCG (Warwickshire College Group), with university-level study centres based at Pershore along with Royal Leamington Spa College, Rugby College, Moreton Morrell College in Warwickshire.
Around 600 students study for a degree with WCUC every year, choosing a flexible, and career-focused alternative to traditional university programmes.
In a year where the survey’s national benchmarks have become tougher to exceed, WCUC students have rated their experience above the benchmark in 24 out of 34 questions and themes, serving as a strong endorsement of the teaching, support and opportunities on offer.
Highlights include that 98.6 per cent of students say teaching staff are good at explaining things and support from teaching staff was rated at 98.6 per cent positive.
98.6 per cent of students felt their course challenged them to achive their best work – 10 per cent about the benchmark.
These results place WCUC’s teaching and student experience above average when compared to other providers across the country, reinforcing its reputation for delivering high-quality higher education in a supportive and accessible community college setting.
Guy Thomas, dean of higher education, said: “We’re incredibly proud of these results, and even more so because they represent the voices of our students.
Our teaching teams work tirelessly to create an environment where learners can grow academically and personally, and these NSS outcomes show that students really value the support, challenge and quality of experience they receive here at WCUC.”
WCUC still has places available to start in September and it dedicated clearing hotline 0330 135 6840 opens at 8.30am on August 14 will provide further information.
