GIFTED students from the local Stagecoach Performing Arts Evesham graced the iconic Her Majesty’s Theatre in the capital.
The school travelled many miles to London to perform over the weekend and worked tremendously hard during rehearsals in what made for a spectacular event.
As part of the show, the students performed a variety of renditions of world-famous songs and films, which included medleys from Guys and Dolls.
On the night, guests of families and friends alike were able to enjoy a plethora of performances by students from London and all over the country, including Queens Park, Colchester, Dulwich, Bristol Central, Woking, Barnet, Sidcup, Northwood, Ealing, Solihull, and Maidenhead.
Stagecoach’s students have been able to grace the iconic venue with a multitude of amazing performances over the years, and this is another enormous milestone for Stagecoach’s spring term.
These showcases build on the students’ creativity, courage and skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Stagecoach Evesham principal Charmaine Brumby said: “We all had such a fantastic day at Her Majesty’s theatre. For the students to be able to experience performing on a West End stage which is home of Phantom of the Opera is such a fantastic opportunity.
“Not only that but they get to experience what it feels like to be backstage in a professional theatre.
“We were so proud of every single one of our students who performed with complete conviction and confidence.”
One of the Evesham student’s parents added: “A brilliant performance by each and every member of Evesham. Such a wonderful experience for the children and a great evening for us parents.
