Stables set on fire in suspected arson attack

TWO stables were set on fire near Evesham in a suspected arson attack.

The incident occurred on Station Road, Blackminster between 6pm and 8.30pm on Saturday, November 7.

At the time of the fire the horses were not in the building, but hay and horse accessories were burnt as well as the stables.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended and put out the blaze, no-one was injured in the incident.




PC Dominique Hopes said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or may have any information.

“This incident has left the victim distressed, and has caused a considerable amount of damage to the property.”


Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should call the police on 101, or alternatively information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
