STUDENTS at Evesham College raised more than £500 for Parkinson’s UK by hosting a relaxing festive spa day.
The spa day gave visitors to the college the chance to relax and take a break from the stresses of the Christmas period and raise funds for an important cause at the same time.
It saw 12 Level 3 Beauty Therapy students from Evesham College work one-to-one with clients and build valuable, professional and real-world spa experience in the final year of their studies.
Treatments included electrical facials, body brushing, chocolate body masks and hot stone massages.
The students led on the organisation of the spa day and also treated their clients to lunch on the day as well as a raffle with prizes donated by the local Evesham community.
Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets all went towards the final total for Parkinson’s UK.
Tracey Hobson, beauty therapy lecturer at WCG, said: “The students will certainly have learned lessons from the day and it’s vital that they get this sort of professional, spa day experience. This sort of insight is invaluable and will be important when they leave the college and start working in spa settings.
