Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 23rd Oct, 2016   0

WHICH way do I go?

Earlier this week I visited my granddaughter in Redditch and she forewarned me of road works and a diversion near to where she lives but to simply carry on as normal.

Had I followed the diversion signs I would have been taken to the other end of the through road, which was completely blocked off and I would have been stranded.

Last Friday my wife was caught up in the traffic problems from an accident at the top of Fish Hill Broadway, which caused chaos all around Chipping Campden and Blockley.

With so many roads blocked off, drivers did not know where to go and my wife’s two hour journey took her over four hours.

So often we come across road diversion signs, which give no clear indication of where we are supposed to be heading or why.

Similarly, there are many times when we have to ask, “Which way do I go in my life”?

When he was on earth Jesus Christ called twelve men by simply saying to them,

“Come and follow me” and they did and they found the true purpose for life.

The twelve disciples were joined by thousands of other people because they saw that the way forward for the future was in following the teachings and the ways of Jesus.

We need to pray to God, in Jesus’ name, to ask Him for the true purpose and effectiveness for our lives in today’s world.
