‘HAVE you purchased more houses?’ This was the question that I was asked a few days ago.
No; I am not a property developer, but the question was regarding the buildings on my model railway in the garden.
Actually I had repainted some of them and moved others around the layout that made the questioner think that I had purchased more houses.
In fact, what I had done was to change the whole perspective of what the viewer had seen over many years.
Change is very often something that we do not like, but often it can bring many benefits and give us a new vision for our lives.
I had been looking at my railway for many years but now it has taken on a whole new visual concept for me.
When Jesus Christ was on earth he met thousands of people and in doing so he totally changed their perspective on life and brought a new and real reason for their being alive.
He brought a message of love, joy, hope and peace to a people who needed to realise that they had to change for the better.
Perhaps we need to stop and take a new look at the Bible and its teachings to see the reality of what allowing Jesus
Christ into our lives can do for us, including a new perspective on life.
