Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 11th Feb, 2018   0

IT WAS in 1982 that I first visited Toddington Station when it had just a few hundred metres of railway track.

Back in those early days many said it was an impossible dream, but with much hard work volunteers have produced a miracle because in just a few weeks time the line will open to Broadway.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is now one of the longest preserved railways in the UK, running from Cheltenham to Broadway, a distance of 15 miles.

Although there are those who say why bother, this is now a living, working railway for today’s people to use and enjoy.

Christianity is viewed by many as out-dated but it is still as relevant today as it was when Jesus Christ walked upon the earth 2,000 years ago.

The message of the gospel is just as important to people today, as it was when Jesus shared the love of God with those around him.

Just as the volunteers of the GWR want us to enjoy a steam railway as a modern experience, so the Christians of the churches locally want us to know that the message of Jesus Christ is still as relevant today as it ever was.

Why not visit the GWR and also a local church to see for yourself?
