I AM writing this article on Tuesday afternoon and outside it is so dark, dismal and wet and not very inviting to venture out.
I was in Evesham in the morning and the traffic was just nose to tail all the way through the town, but there did not seem to be many shoppers around.
After the festivities of Christmas and the New Year, this is the time that always seems so depressing and flat.
But this is when we look back at the last twelve months and realise that so much has happened in our lives and it should be the time to look forward with anticipation to the forthcoming year.
Time does not stand still and there will certainly be changes in our lives, some good and some not so good.
Many of us make New Year Resolutions but fail to keep them.
Two thousand years ago a baby was born who would change the whole outlook of the world.
Jesus Christ came to show us the love that comes from his Father God and to encourage us to experience that love in our own daily lives.
The invitation comes to all of us to consider the words of Jesus Christ and accept him into our lives.
Let us allow 2018 to be a new and exciting life for each of us.
