Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 6th Aug, 2017   0

WATCHING the ‘Ride London’ cycle racing on the television over the last weekend, I was amazed the main group of riders, known as ‘the peloton’, did not collide with each other.

What is more amazing to me is to see the spectacular flying display from the Starlings as they perform their nightly show just as they come in to roost.

How on earth does each little bird know where to fly so that it does not collide with one of its fellow acrobats as they weave and turn so dramatically?

Seeing dolphins swimming so majestically and acrobatically in their groups is also a sight to behold.

There are so many similar displays in the natural world, that as we stand and watch we are amazed at these spectacular sights.

There has to be a tremendous co-ordination amongst these creatures that we could do with emulating more in the human world.

In last weeks thought we looked at having peace in our own individual lives, but today we need to be reminded that the bible says, “Live in peace with each other, encourage the timid, help the weak and be patient with everyone”, and also “Be at peace with each other”.

Those animals, birds and fish must have a peace and co-ordination with each other as they perform their spectacular feats.

Let us not only have the peace and love of God in our own lives but let us share it with all those around us.
